Mode The properties of an object are those things that go into making it up, for example, it's size (width and hieght), it's colour, the thickness of the outline, etc. These are all accessible from an information box that appears on the right-hand side of the screen when you select the properties option from the Edit menu.
As your scene develops there will be times when you wish to see the properties of and object, you may wish to change one or more of the p[roprties to make it look different for exxample. The properties box on the right is an example of the properties of an object. When it is first started up it defaults ot the colour / texture fill of the object but you can check other properties of the object by clicking on the other tabs. As you can see, you can slect a swatch and change the colour of the objeect and by clicking on the Edit button you can also edit the colour, maybe make it a little lighter or darker. The various colour button give you access to the texture facilities introduced here For example, the tab with the pentagon on it allows you to change it's shape and the options on there depend on the shape of the object, for example, I drew a five pointed star in the work space and clicked on the pentagon tab and it gave me the option to change how many points the star had. Not very interesting or exciting is it? when I drew a plain old square in the work space it gave me the option of rounding the corners of the square. It's the first time I have looked at that tab since I started using Corel Draw. The tab with the pen on it gives you access to the outline parameters and allows you change those. For example you bould change the width of the outline, you could also change the colour of the outline or the end points of the outline. Do you wish the end pointsa of a line to be arrows and if so what type of arrows. Actually, the main two tabs you will use if you look at the properties of any object you draw will be the default colour / texture fill and maybe the Web tab, adding a Uniform Resource Locator (web address) to it to make it a link in a web page.
