Align Objects

As you place objects in your scene, you may find that some of them can be pretty hard to line up, (if you need to line them up), you can line them up with the align option.

You can see an example of the align option dialogue box on the right. There isn't really a lot to it but it may be useful one day. You align an objects(s) by selecting them, then clicking on the Arrange menu and selecting the Align and Distribute option. Make your selection of where you will line up the object by placing a tick in the relevant boxes, for example if you wished to place your object in top centre at the top you would click on center and top then click on the OK button.

This is ok for general alignment but to have a little more presicion over the placement of objects within your scene you will find the snap to grid & snap to guidelines more effective. these can be found in the View menu.
