Send and Receive

When you first start Outlook Express up it automatically looks for an Internet connection and downloads any e-mails from the server that has been specified for it look at.

That's all well and good but you don't want to keep closing down Outlook Express and starting it up again just to download any more e-mails that might be waiting on the online server. So Clicking on the Send and Receive button sends a message to the mail server asking if there are any more e-mails and downloading them if there are.
