Windows Layout Properties Box

You can change the way the different windows (panes) are displayed by clicking on the View menu item then selecting the layout option and this will bring up a dialogue box similar to that shown on the right.

Ticking an item will shpow it in the normal view, unticking an item will hid it, for example, in the example shown, I have the Contacts window (pane) showing as is the folder bar, folder list, status bar and tool bar.

You can try ticking them and unticking them and looking at how Outlook Express is displayed.

The preview Pane section underneath this is to so that you can show the Preview window in different places, below the list of e-mails, beside (side by side) the list of e-mails or not show it at all.

Don't forget to click on the Apply or OK button after you have made the changes.
