Fountain Fill
Sometimes straight flat colours don't do a scene justice or don't give quite the effect you were looking for, Fountain Fills might give your scene a little life. Fountain Fill is a way of filling an object with colour, (they consist of two or more colours merged together) creating a light area and the colour to radiate out from that spot on your object. First of all let's see how we select a colour fill from the Fountain fill dialogue box. At the top left-hand corner we have a drop down list of 4 types of fill, Linear, Radial, Conical, and Square. The Options section allows you to set the angle, from vertical through to horizontal and the edge pad which defines the edge where the colours meet. The Colour Blend section allows you to select the colour range using the From and To options (in the example it is black to white, the Mid Point which changes where the middle point of colour is and all the changes will be reflected in the small colour sqaure in the top right-hand side. The little stars below show the effect of the various types of fountain fill.
